Educational Grants
Mission
To establish grants that motivate and excite students and teachers to further their education with a focus on math and the sciences.
Vision
• Involve employees in education
• Demonstrate commitment to communities where the Company has a significant employee and business presence
• Facilitate math and science education for grades K-12
Grant Eligibility Criteria
Organizations must satisfy the following criteria:
• Support the mission of the grant program as stated above
• Have a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt and public charity status by the U.S. Internal Revenue Service Non-U.S. organizations must meet the charitable criteria of the country of their incorporation
• Impact or benefit communities where Lam has a significant employee base and/or business presence
Grant Requirements
• Suggested amount should not exceed $10,000 (exceptions may be made)
• Timeline should bridge a year. Re-apply for consecutive years
• Grants will be reviewed by the selection committee four times a year
Deadlines:
* January 31 with decision and check by March 31
* April 30 with decision and check by June 30
* July 31 with decision and check by September 30
* October 31 with decision and check by December 31

Download and complete the Grant Application Form. Be sure to include all requested information. Incomplete requests or requests that are not accompanied by Lam's Grant Application Form will not be reviewed.

Restrictions and Exclusions
• Fund—raising events
• Conferences and seminars
• Groups that practice or promote unlawful discriminatory policies
• "Goodwill" trips, including transportation and housing costs
• Contests, door prizes, raffles, festivals, registration fees, advertising
• Government agencies
• School activities such as band, debate teams, sports, etc.
• Program advertisements whether commercial, independent, or non—profit ventures
• Sectarian, denominational, religious, and political programs
• Equipment that will be used in a private residence
• Fraternal, labor, and veteran organizations
• Individuals or individuals' research projects
• Adult sports leagues or sporting events
• Building or capital campaigns
