We focus on environmental sustainability initiatives — particularly those connected to the resource demands of industrial growth — and on building long-term capacity for communities to prepare for, respond to, and recover from natural disasters and crises. This includes:
- Environmental sustainability programs that reduce resource consumption, improve water and energy systems, restore natural habitats, or advance climate resilience — with preference for initiatives connected to the environmental impact of industrial activity in Lam operating communities
- Disaster preparedness and recovery programs that build long-term community capacity to prevent, prepare for, and recover from natural disasters and crises — with preference for programs that create reusable infrastructure and community resilience rather than one-time relief
